Part design playground, part mad scientist's laboratory, the Design Lab is a special range of products within The Camden Watch Company collection.
We have three main styles of Design Lab watches; Frankenstein, Small Batch and First Editions.
A Frankenstein Edition is a watch assembled by our Co-Founder Jerome right here in Camden Town using various parts from different watches within the collection, put together to create something totally new.
Each Frankstein edition is signed, dated and numbered on the interior of the caseback.
A Small Batch edition is exactly what it sounds like, a style or colourway that is produced in a small, limited run, usually around 50 pieces. These Small Batch Editions may or may not be reproduced in the future, but the first production run will feature a special 'first edition' case back so you will always know that you had one from the very first batch.
A first edition is the first production run of a small batch watch. Generally, they will make their way into the main collection, sometimes as they are and sometimes with a few minor tweaks such as hand colour or style of strap.
